Hello, I am Dr. Shatoyia

Dr. Shatoyia was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was raised by her grandmother from infancy until she reached eighteen. Although she yearned for the love of her biological parents as a child, it was never a realization for her that she needed their love to secure her identity growing up. However, as a result of their absence, Dr. Shatoyia searched for love in all the wrong places. She eventually discovered that a child who does not receive love from their parents is more than likely to misbehave and face challenges in developing healthy relationships with others.

Notwithstanding, during her youth, Dr. Shatoyia experienced a pattern of unhealthy relationships that she tried unsuccessfully to maintain due to her lack of self-worth at the time. Dr. Shatoyia eventually answered God’s calling on her life to move to a place she had never been before. God ordered her steps to Miami, Florida, at the tender age of twenty-three, leaving behind her family and friends. It was in Miami where Dr. Shatoyia pursued her master’s degree in clinical social work and her Ph.D. in family therapy. It was also where she developed an intimate relationship with her Abba, and it was the place where He began her healing process. Abba restored her soul from the emotional wounds inflicted upon her during childhood—wounds she hadn't realized she had—by discovering her Truth Self (true identity in Christ).

Since then, God has consecrated her to testify to the gospel of the Grace of God and heal broken hearts with the anointing of restoration He has bestowed upon her life. In 2013, she carried out her vision. Dr. Shatoyia understood the value of her vision, which was paid for through countless sacrifices and processes that have evolved her into this vivacious woman. Her anointing is strategically designed to dismantle and incapacitate the devil’s work on Earth. Although her anointing is distinctive and alluring, it attracts jealousy and dislike. Dr. Shatoyia has mastered how to focus on her assignment and not be moved because of her biggest critics. Not only is she distinctive in ministry but also a psychotherapist (providing individual, couple, and family counseling services), catalyst, the author of 17 books, and a deliverance educator.

Dr. Shatoyia has a heart after God; she desires to see all His people overcome identity crises to walk boldly toward their expected end. Dr. Shatoyia is a firm believer that “man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God” (Matt. 4:4). Therefore, Dr. Shatoyia encourages and empowers the lives of God’s people through the Word of God and the leading of the Holy Spirit. Her primary objective is to restore hope with the revelation of one’s Truth Self and reveal purpose in a person’s pain.

Throughout her painful experiences of being brokenhearted in many seasons, she has birthed “Purpose in Brokenness, School of Valor,” and lives are being transformed, empowered, and delivered into their destinies.
